Saturday, and to be honest it was all word athletics and of course women’s World Rugby championship. Basically the Brits were crap at athletics and winners at rugby. Of course there was some other bits and pieces, like an overdose of Miranda and football highlights before taking my meds and going off to bed. A bland day of puttering about but then they cannot all be riveting days of intellectual stimulation. Some days just have to be got through on routine.
Sunday is not much better then Saturday. Still a lot of world athletics in which the Brits continued their consistently crap performance, although a silver and a bronzed helped to save face. There is a trip to the garage to fill Elsie ready for the trip to York tomorrow and then on to another garden centre to get weed killer the paving and the patio. Of course I cannot resist topping up the compost stock and indulging in a milkshake. Back home I listen to a football match and then not being able to bear being in active I clean the shower heads in the down stairs shower before tea.
The evening starts up with drafting the blog and then watching a film. So I drift to night time medications and bed without anything packed for my visit to York tomorrow but I can do all that in the morning after a quick rowing session and a shower. There will be one last check of the Tesco order and then sleep. I’m looking forward seeing people I’ve not seen for a long time and catching up with them.
