CHEMO DAY 40

CYCLE 2 DAY 18

The Tigers mascot, Welford has no idea either.

People have commented on the pictures posted from the Kew Gardens glass art exhibition we went to see over the last couple of days. Here is some info:

I woke this morning feeling that I wanted my own bed, not this hotel one. As a result I was ready to push on and have breakfast and leave. Todays experience of breakfast was better then yesterdays and more relaxed. Which meant we could take our time loading the car and settling in for the journey back to Leicester. The only impediment was the heavy rain, however we found our way back to the motorway and after that it was fairly automatic driving. The bonus was that as we headed north the sky brightened and the rain ceased and by Leicester it was dry and bright. I wondered if I had continued on north if the weather would have continue to improve until it was glorious sunshine and warmth.

Home in time to see Ireland win their rugby match whilst unpacking and tidying away the debris of travel. The decision of the day was whether to go and see Tigers play Northampton in the cup or not. In the end we decided to go, our first match of the new season. Walking into the ground again and up to our seats I felt a pang of welcome familiarity. I had bought us both padded cushions for our hard bench seats at the club shop. This was purely selfish on my part as I was not looking forward to the prospect of a cold arse in the winter weeks to come, especially with my condition and lowered immune system. As I say I was enjoying being at the match again, the result was another matter. They lost 22- 31.

A minutes silence for departed Tigers. About as organised as they got all afternoon.

Home via the chippy and a dose of Strictly before spending hours sorting all the Chihuly photographs into a single folder on the PC. I want to be able to create something from them or at least use some of them in the blog as they are such lovely images. Whilst doing this I am test running the new tumble dryer and wondering what I shall put into the blog. Basically I am distracting myself from looking at the results of my latest blood test. I have promised myself that I will look tomorrow after a night in my own bed. I have a half formed dread of seeing my PSA level rise. It will do at some point but I really want it to be later than sooner. So I shall wish you all good nights and leave you with more Chihuly pictures.
